An "Assassin's Creed" title has finally penetrated the top ten most requested titles to be included in the Xbox One backwards compatibility list.
Ubisoft's fifth major installment in its highly popular "Assassin's Creed" series, "Assassin's Creed III," has finally entered the top ten list of games which fans want to see as a backwards compatible title on the Xbox One.
With over 59,000 votes, "Assassin's Creed III" enters the top ten list, behind 2K Games' "Bioshock Infinite" and ahead of EA Dice's "Battlefield 3."
The game follows the series protagonist Desmond Miles and his half-English, half-Mowhawk ancestor Ratonhnhaké:ton, also known as Connor. The fifth "Assassin's Creed" title received positive reviews from critics, getting high scores across all platforms, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC, on review score aggregator Metacritic.
The game may possibly join the first "Assassin's Creed" title as an Xbox One backwards compatible title soon, although it is just requested by fans at the moment.
However, Microsoft has been slowly adding fan requested games in the list, just like what happened on N7 Day, when both "Mass Effect 2" and "Mass Effect 3" were finally added to the backwards compatibility library, to the delight of "Mass Effect" fans everywhere.
The two "Mass Effect" games have secured their spots in the top ten most requested backwards compatible titles for the Xbox One. In October, Electronic Arts has advised "Mass Effect" fans to keep on voting for "Mass Effect 2" and "Mass Effect 3" so it can be included in the Xbox One backwards compatibility list.
This proves that Microsoft is really listening to its fanbase, and more are now hoping that they will get more titles that they want added to the list, especially the title on the top spot, "Call of Duty: Black Ops II."
In the meantime, two more games were recently added to the ever expanding Xbox One backwards compatibility list, Electronic Arts' "Dead Space Ignition" and Deep Silver's "Escape Dead Island."
