Microsoft adds some of its fans' most requested titles to the ever growing Xbox One backwards compatibility list ahead of the program's first year anniversary.

Xbox head honcho Phil Spencer has stated on Twitter that November is going to be a great month for backwards compatibility, having received the list of releases planned for that month. The director said that some of the "top fan requests" will finally be made available.

True to the Xbox boss' words, on N7 Day, both "Mass Effect 2" and "Mass Effect 3" were finally added to the backwards compatibility library, to the delight of "Mass Effect" fans everywhere.

The two "Mass Effect" games have secured their spots in the top ten most requested backwards compatible titles for the Xbox One. In October, Electronic Arts has advised "Mass Effect" fans to keep on voting for "Mass Effect 2" and "Mass Effect 3" so it can be included in the Xbox One backwards compatibility list.

Answering a fan on Twitter, Electronic Arts said at the time that both games need more support from the fans for them to make it to the list. "The more support there is, the sooner we might some movement on this so cheers for taking the time to vote!"

This proves that Microsoft is really listening to its fanbase, and more are now hoping that they will get more titles that they want added to the list, especially the title on the top spot, "Call of Duty: Black Ops II."

Apart from "Mass Effect," Microsoft has also added a few more titles this week. Another EA title, "Skate 3," was recently included as well as Codemasters' "OFP: Red River," Sega's "Guardian Heroes," and Square Enix's "Scarygirl."

Xbox One backwards compatibility program turns one year old this Saturday, Nov. 12.
