Here is a look at the 2016 LG G5 and how it fares against the 2015 launch from Motorola, the Droid Turbo 2.
The Motorola smartphone is certainly taller, wider, and denser than the LG smartphone. Still, the G5 model has an overall sleeker design.
When it comes to display, the Droid Turbo 2 has a larger screen size, but with lower pixels per inch compared to the LG G5, according to NDTV Gadgets.
Looking at underneath the hood, the Motorola phone is powered by 2 GHz, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, while the LG model is powered by 2.15 GHz, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, as reported by Phone Arena. The latter has the better CPU speed. However, more parallel processing tasks can be done in Motorola model thanks to the additional cores.
The G5 tops the charts when it comes to RAM capacity. However, when it comes to expandable storage, the Motorola model has a larger capacity.
The LG G5 comes with a 16 MP rear and 8 MP front camera, whereas the Motorola Droid turbo 2 comes with a 21 MP rear and a 5 MP front camera.
The Motorola smartphone wins hands-down when it comes to battery capacity, while he LG device remains the only one between the two to have a removable battery.
The LG G5 seems to have an edge in some of the features, but with a huge battery capacity and a large screen, many would prefer the Motorola Droid Turbo 2.
