Here's what we've uncovered on the upcoming "Elementary" Season 5 Spisode 5. Spoilers ahead.

In the upcoming episode of "Elementary," Sherlock (portrayed by Jonny Lee Miller) will have a disagreement with his partner Joan on whether to help Shinwell or not.

According to a synopsis released for the upcoming episode entitled, "To Catch a Predator Predator," Joan finds out that Shinwell is having a hard time looking for a job due to his criminal records, so the detective decides to help him. However, Sherlock disagrees with Joan's decision.

To recall, this move of Sherlock is quite surprising, according to a report, since he is the one who actually convinced her to assist Shinwell in his transition from prison to life back in the outside world.

"Enter reformed criminal and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle character Shinwell Johnson (True Blood's Nelsan Ellis), is someone with a dark and troubled past, who is trying to reform himself, but he brings a lot of baggage to our doorstep," EP Rob Doherty tells EW.

The producer added that "there may be a difference of opinion on whether keeping him in their orbit is such a good idea."

It was not yet revealed why Sherlock does not want his partner to help Shinwell find a job but the London-born private investigator probably notices that the ex-convict is starting to abuse Joan's kindness.

In Season 5, Episode 2, entitled "Worth Several Cities," Joan got Shinwell a new apartment with the help of her real estate agent sister, Lin (Samantha Quan). In the same episode, Shinwell also asked Joan to locate his teenage daughter, whom he didn't get to know while she was growing up.

It might just be possible that Sherlock is just worried about what could happen to Joan's reputation in the case if Shinwell performs badly in the job she finds for him. Since Joan does not really know Shinwell, her partner might just think it is a bad move for her to risk her name for Shinwell.

"Elementary" Season 5, Episode 5 airs Sunday, Nov. 6, at 10:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
