The latest NBA trade rumors hinted that the Sacramento Kings might have a deal with the Miami Heat before the season begins. Reports claimed that the Kings are willing to trade their small forward Rudy Gay in order to bring in the Heat's point guard Goran Dragic.
Basketball Insiders reported that the Sacramento Kings are looking forward to rebuilding their roster this season by trading Gay. It is stated that Gay will become an unrestricted free agent next season, and hence the Kings are looking for a perfect trade option as his replacement.
According to the trade rumors, adding Dragic onto their roster will help the Kings with his excellent offensive skills. In order to seal the deal with the Heat, the Kings will also reportedly trade their point guard Darren Collison along with Gay.
On the other hand, the trade is rumored to also benefit the Miami Heat team in the upcoming NBA season. Reports claimed that Gay will provide the tea with excellent defensive skills and fill the void created by the Chris Bosh's health condition.
Furthermore, it is stated that with Dragic's departure, the Miami Heat will be left with a total of $42.3 million cap space. This is expected to help the team to sign many free agents in the upcoming offseason and thus further provide a boost to their roster.
However, none of the teams have officially commented on the rumored trade scenario which involves Rudy Gay and Goran Dragic. So, these rumors should be taken with a grain of salt as of now.
