"Outlander" Season 3 remains unclear despite being in its production phase. Still a year away, there are already a lot of potential speculations about it that surfaced on the Internet. Here are some theories.
In an interview with People Style, Jaime Fraser (Sam Heughan) said that the new season which is based on Diana Gabaldon's third book, "Voyager" will make Heughan and other casts to go on a new journey which would show the way to new places.
"In this season, we span over 20 years - we go to Scotland, Jamaica and England and also end up in North Carolina, so it's a real adventure," he says, "I was like, 'Oh my God. What are you doing?' So there's going to be some surprises and really dramatic, epic scenes."
Aside from it, it was said that in the "Outlander" Season 3, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) will be pregnant with Jaime's child while she stays with her husband, Frank. She will live her life without Jamie but later she will learn that Jaime did not lose his life in the Battle of Culloden. Then, that turned out to be very hard for her. Once Claire gives birth, she will focus all her effort to her daughter Brianna and that would make Frank believed that Claire is still in love with Jaime.
Moreover, the new season will introduce new characters including John Bell as Young Murray and Will Johnson as Joe Abernathy.
Lauren Lyle will be joining the series too as Marsali, Laoghaire's (Nell Hudson) daughter and Cesar Domboy (The Walk) will take the role as a grown up Fergus (Romann Berrux). Actor David Berry will play as the Lord John Grey.
On the other hand, there were speculations that Jaime will cut his "luscious ginger curls" as the Season 3 will show an older version of Jamie and Claire. However, Heughan told People Style this:
"[Caitriona and my] hair is very much a part of the show," he says. "It's all about big hair. Claire's hair is very unkempt. And same with Jamie. His hair is very much a part of who he is - the color and the look to him. It's an honor playing this character for over three years now. It feels like a part of me. It'll be a sad day when I'll have to lose it [the hair]."
"Outlander" Season 3 is said to premiere in 2017 on Starz.
