Lagging behind its PC and console counterparts, the iOS version of Telltale Games' "Batman: The Telltale Series" Episode Two: Children of Arkham" is now available for download on iTunes.
The iOS port of the episodic point-and-click game featuring the popular comic book superhero was recently made available for iOS users, and was launched on Oct.8, more than two weeks after the Windows, Playstation 4 and Xbox One versions came out.
Instead of iOS users cheering for the release of Episode Two for their chosen platform, however, most people who have downloaded the game on their devices were left dissatisfied with its quality, with most complaining that "Episode One: Realm of Shadows" did not perform well on their Apple devices.
"For one, the graphics are really glitchy and there are a number of frame-rate issues," Redditor ligital said when attempting to play the game on their Ipad Mini 4. "The gameplay is also affected by the framerate dropping, when in the fast paced action scenes. Plus the games transition from full screen to the 'cinematic' screen resolution, is really choppy."
Another Redditor Z3ro_Flaw said that the game also failed to perform even on the new iPhone 7 Plus. "Well, it turns out that the game doesn't perform well even on Apple's flagship devices," the Redditor said. "I see performance issues (frame drops), blurry text and art assets, and very long load times."
The Redditor also said that he has gotten in touch with Telltale Games about this and was informed that the developer is working on a fix for the iOS issues.
While Telltale is struggling to fix the issues on Apple devices, fans who own Android devices are still waiting for a release date for "Batman: The Telltale Series." The developer still has not given an exact release date for the Android version of Episode One and Two, but fans are hoping that the port will be out before the release of Episode Three.
Telltale Games is 'aiming to' get all episodes out before the year ends, according to the head of creative communications Job Stauffer.
"We develop live, so bear with us on Episode 5 in December," Stauffer clarified on Twitter. "Regardless, you will play the majority of the series this year, if not all of it, after it premieres later this Summer!"
