It looks like the waiting game will finally be over as Blizzard is rumored to reveal the long teased character Sombra in popular shooter game "Overwatch."
Folks over at Reddit have picked up a leak of Sombra's character design which originated from a Russian "Overwatch" group, according to PC Gamer. The text on the screenshot describes Sombra as "one of the world's best and most notorious hackers," and said that the new character is affliliated with the Los Muertos gang in Mexico.
The description also went on to say that Sombra "lost everything during the Omnic Cris[is]" as a child, and Redditors speculate that the person on the far right of this image, is presumably someone related to her, and has died in action with Overwatch.
This may also be the reason why she is against the organization, and has agreed to work for Talon as revenge.
Redditors also pointed out that the silhouette shown on the newspaper in Dorado is actually Sombra. The comparison is found on this image.
The leaked screenshot also showed a bit of text which said, "protect the castle doors from the Zomnics and Dr. Junkenstein's evil allies," which points to the rumored upcoming Halloween Brawl featuring Dr. Junkenstein, or Junkrat dressed up as the famous Dr. Frankenstein.
Dr. Junkenstein is also featured in a new "Overwatch" Halloween comic, according to this Twitter post.
Fans are now speculating that Blizzard is finally ready to reveal Sombra after a long wild goose chase in the form of alternate reality games, or ARG's. According to some "Overwatch" players, the developer is planning to bring out the new hero on Oct. 18, along with the new Halloween themed contents.
The countdown site amomentincrime.com is currently at 87 percent, and is speculated to hit the 100 per cent mark on the 18th.
Will fans finally get a glimpse of Sombra in "Overwatch"? Stay tuned for more updates.
