The highly anticipated "Better Call Saul season 3" is getting one step closer to a premiere. Here's what we know so far.

The television series was renewed earlier this year and their team shared an official photo of the cast members during filming at Albuquerque.

According to a report, fans are expected to witness Jimmy McGill’s transformation as Saul Goodman in the next season. In fact, there are lot of rumors saying there would be numerous characters to be involved in his forthcoming change.

Bob Odenkirk, who portrays Jimmy McGill also known by the trade name Saul Goodman, also explained what will ignite his transformation in "Better Call Saul" Season 3. "You can imagine numerous reasons, one probably being I could embarrass the hell of out my brother... I think people sometimes feel like it's going to take forever at this pace, and I just don't think that's true," he added.

Reports claimed that Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) will play an essential role in Jimmy McGill’s transformantion in “Better Call Saul season 3.”

Series’ creator Vince Gilligan revealed that Mike and Jimmy will be working together in a new installment. The 49-year-old writer even hinted that they are about to create more scenes and interactions for the two characters.

Moreover, fans of the groundbreaking crime drama “Breaking Bad” have been drooling since the season 2 finale of prequel series, “Better Call Saul,” which teased at a potential appearance of Gus Fring, the Albuquerque drug kingpin.

"I would be very sad if people were expecting to see that character right away on season 3," showrunner Peter Gould said in the Entertainment Weekly interview.

"On 'Breaking Bad' at times he was a little bit like the man behind the curtain, like the Wizard of Oz, not so easy to get to see," Gould said. "So, none of this is to say that suddenly you're going to be seeing an awful lot of that character once we come back."

“Better Call Saul season 3” will air in 2017, a premier date for that season has not been officially announced.
