Most "Pokémon GO" players may just be in the process of completing their Pokédex at this point, so the hunt is now whittled down to the game's rarest Pokémon. Today on our "Pokémon GO" guide, we will discuss how to nab the elusive Normal Pokémon Porygon.

Why Should I Want A Porygon?

Porygon may look like a basic Pokémon, but this Tier A critter (according to RankedBoost) is a great addition to your team. In addition, you might want to prepare for Porygon's more powerful Gen 2 evolution, Porygon2.

How And Where To Catch Porygon In The Wild

Since Porygon is a Normal Pokémon, it is a bit difficult trying to pinpoint where this particular Pokémon will spawn, especially with the recent updates wherein Pokémon nests are being migrated.

However, according to some people, Porygons can be spotted near large government buildings, such as local court houses, Attack of the Fanboy reported.

Normal Pokémon, not just Porygon, can also be commonly found in residential areas, universities, college campuses and parking lots, according to RankedBoost. Take note, however, that Porygon is a bit of a rare catch so spotting one randomly in the wild will prove to be a bit difficult.

Hatching Porygon From Eggs

Finding a random Porygon in the wild can be a bit of a pain, but the good news is that this elusive mon can actually be obtained by hatching a 5km egg. This may also rely on a huge amount of luck before you finally get your own Porygon, but it is tons better than trying to spot one outside.

Now, in order to get that Porygon faster, you must hatch as many 5km eggs as you possibly can.

As you already know, the game gives you an Infinity Incubator for free at the beginning, but the more incubators you have, the more eggs you can hatch at the same time.

You can get more free Incubators in the game at certain levels, but each can only be used three times, so you may want to use those to hatch your precious 10km eggs, and put the 2km and 5km in the Infinity Incubator instead

According to the Level rewards list via Eurogamer, you'll get a total of 13 3x Incubators in the game: One at levels 6, 10, 15 and 25, two at level 20, three at level 30, and four at level 40, which is the current level cap.

Alternatively, you can buy one at the cash shop if you have tons of Pokécoins to spare.
