The developer of the game himself made an announcement in the Steam community about the game's challenges, especially the release.
This last Tuesday, Scott Cawthon said at the Steam community site regarding the game's current status and a little insight of what will take place. The headline screams of bad news, especially with the word "delayed."
However, for those who didn't see through the message at the first time of reading it, something was already off and fishy. Here's a short excerpt from it:
"At the same time though, people WANT a horror game, and I get that. I understand that. This is supposed to be horror, and not kid friendly. So then what am I supposed to do? Release something that offends me just to satisfy those who want to play it? Or take the time and effort to really craft something that everyone can enjoy? The answer is obvious to me. "
"The problem is that the franchise has grown too much. There is too much of a spotlight on this for me to really do what I want to do. Even the news sites jumped all over this and mocked me for delaying the game. It just makes things difficult, because I don't feel like I can really do the right thing anymore. " he added.
Scott then says that the game will be released in parts, portions and not as a complete game and finally dropped the bomb with the words "wait a few months until I'm able to really make something.."
The developer then provided a link for a demo for "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" at the end of the post, which can be directly downloaded here.
Right now, a lot of fans have already figured out what exactly is going to happen, but we'll not spoil those who would try out the demo. Yes, the game isn't delayed at all and the developer is just being a troll, but curiosity may take the better of us on how this was revealed on the demo of "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location."
