The Samsung Gear S3 is now available for pre-order! UK-based retailer Mobile Fun is currently taking pre-orders for both variants of the smartwatch - the Samsung Gear S3 classic and the Samsung Gear S3 frontier.

The bestselling feature in the Samsung Gear S2, the Smart Bezel, also makes its way to the S3, this time with an integrated fitness -enhancing GPS and barometer. The successor to Gear S2 also seems to have undergone a refinement in circular screen hosting techniques. Both Samsung Gear S3 variants come as circular smartwatches with protected AMOLED displays,Gorilla glasses and a rotating bezel.

Although both variants have similar dimensions and have IP68-rated dust and waterproof protection, the frontier is denser than the classic variant of the Samsung Gear S3. Interchangeable strap options are also available to help in personalization as per website of Samsung.

The Gear S3 is powered by Tizen 2.3.2, 1.0 GHz dual-core processor. Like the Samsung Gear S2, Samsung has preferred its own OS over the Android Wear.

With 4GB storage and 768 of RAM, both variants support Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS and an array of sensors including a barometer, accelerometer, gyro and ambient light. With activity trackers, an optical sensor and accelerometers, the Samsung Gear S3 should be able to monitor the heart rate -something fitness freaks would love to see.

With battery which can be charged wirelessly given a boost in capacity, i.e. 250mAh to 380 mAh, the Samsung S3 should last a minimum of 3-4 days on a single charge according to Digital Spy.

The design looks great for both variants of Samsung Gear S3. The elegant design along with the features should give some competition to other smartwatches in the market.
