Bioware's annual N7 day is just a few weeks away, but it looks like fans will be seeing a few more "Mass Effect: Andromeda" related information before Nov. 7.
Bioware's Mac Walters hinted on Twitter that fans do not need to wait until N7 day to hear something new about "Mass Effect: Andromeda." The creative director for the "Mass Effect" franchise said that there might be a few reveals before the "Mass Effect" community's unofficial holiday.
"There may be the odd tidbit. Here and there." Walters teased on his Twitter account in response to a fan's question.
"Mass Effect: Andromeda"'s first ever gameplay footage was shown at this year's Playstation Meeting, used to showcase the power of Sony's new console, the Playstation 4 Pro, which came as a pleasant surprise for "Mass Effect" fans.
The next title in the "Mass Effect" series has been highly anticipated since it was first teased on Twitter by former Bioware executive producer Casey Hudson in 2012. "Mass Effect: Andromeda" was officially unveiled during Electronic Arts' press conference at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in 2015.
The game was supposed to be released in 2016, but was announced to be delayed to 2017. However, a recent interview has hinted yet another delay for "Mass Effect: Andromeda."
According to Middle of Nowhere Gaming, Bioware had difficulties intertwining narrative with an open world playstyle, and has become the biggest challenge for the team.
"Working through that and learning around that... It's been a lot of our studio's work these past five years through 'Dragon Age Inquisition' and now through this - to really learn how to do that better and better," Bioware's Aaryn Flynn said. "We've got lots more learning to do, but I'm really very happy with how the team is doing this with 'Mass Effect Andromeda'."
Flynn also commented that connecting the narrative to an open world gameplay style is "a lot of work," adding that the studio has underestimated the level of difficulty this involves.
The game is set to be launched in March next year, but fans can't help but hear warning bells when Flynn said that the developer has "lots more learning to do," which sparks speculation of a delay for the much-awaited game.
"Mass Effect: Andromeda" has already been delayed once, and fans are hoping that Bioware will be able to meet its March 2017 deadline this time. Will we finally hear a concrete release date for the game at N7?
