September is almost over, but we haven't seen any of the September update for "Clash of Clans." Are fans missing something or does Tencent acquiring the company behind the game causing last-minute plan changes?

According to the to the announcement that a Supercell staff posted on the game's official site, the "Clash of Clan's" massive update is originally due to be released in September. However, as things look right now, it would be unlikely that the update will be out, especially that there are rumors regarding Supercell including some Halloween elements.

Still, based from a leak that a redditor found something regarding the active server that they currently are at, it was already upgraded to 8.481.x and if anything else, this indicates that the update is already rolled out to the new server.

The sneak peeks will be released prior to the actual launch of the update. This has been done with the other game called "Clash Royale."

One of the few hopes of the massive update getting a release soon is if Supercell decides to finally release their update after the sneak peeks. Anything else would only point the update to be release later on October or worse, on November.

However, if things aren't going the direction they're supposed to be, one possibility that fans could think of is regarding the recent acquisition of Supercell that is now owned by a big Chinese company named Tencent, as reported by Destructoid.

It is unlikely, however, that Tencent will interfere with "Clash of Clans" even on the long run. Still, if changes are to be issued, this will affect a lot of players that may contradict what was originally envisioned by the game. Being acquired by Tencent means exposing it to a lot of development teams with different approaches.
