The latest NBA trade rumors hinted that the Boston Celtics might enter a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers for their center Nerlens Noel before the start of the season. According to reports, Noel recently expressed his views over the 76ers crowded frontcourt, which has reportedly paved the way for the rumors that he is seeking out new team options for the upcoming NBA season.
"I think it's just silly. This situation that we are in now with three starting centers," said Noel, as reported by Philly. "With the departure of Sam Hinkie, I would have figured that management would be able to get something done this summer. I think something needs to happen."
Celtics Blog reported that the Boston team is planning to improve their roster before the start of the season and adding Noel will help them achieve their goal. Reports claimed that Noel will provide the team with excellent defensive power, shot-blocking, and rim-running skills, which is rumored to help them to become the top-most teams in the NBA league.
Furthermore, it is expected that the Celtics might team up Noel with their power forward Al Horford in order to improve their frontcourt gameplay. In order to seal the deal, rumors hinted that the Boston Celtics might send their power forward Kelly Olynyk and point guard Marcus Smart to the 76ers in order to receive Noel in exchange.
On the other hand, reports claimed that the Philadelphia 76ers also want to improve their backcourt by trading few players from their overcrowded roster. It is stated that the 76ers are looking out for perfect replacement options for either Nerlens Noel or Jahlil Okafor.
Cartain trade rumors stated that bringing in Olynyk in exchange for Noel will help the 76ers to enhance their defensive gameplay in the upcoming NBA season. It is expected that the 76ers might team-up Olynyk with their forward Ben Simmons and center Joel Embiid to put up high scores on the board this season.
