The latest NBA rumors suggested that the Philadelphia 76ers and the Toronto Raptors might enter a trade deal. According to reports, the trade will involve 76ers center Jahlil Okafor and Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry.
According to ESPN trade machine, the Okafor and Lowry trade will prove beneficial to both the Philadelphia 76ers and the Toronto Raptors as both the players will help the teams improve their overall gameplay.
Furthermore, it is stated that the Philadelphia 76ers are in search of perfect trade option for their center player in order to make space in their court and thus improve their roster. HNGN reported that Lowry is currently in his best game form as witnessed in the recent 2016 Rio Olympics and will provide the 76ers with excellent offensive and defensive skillset.
It is expected that the Philadelphia 76ers might team up Lowry with power forward Nerlens Noel and forward Ben Simmons, which will help them to score high and thus win a number of matches in the upcoming NBA season.
Moreover, as the Raptors opened their training camps on Monday, Lowry stated that he was keen on giving his best performance, which indicated his desire to play big for the team he will be playing for in the new NBA season. "Me personally, I think it's time," said Lowry, as reported by CBC Sports. "I want a ring; I want to win a championship."
On the other hand, if the Toronto Raptors bring in Okafor onto their roster, then he is expected to provide them with excellent rebounding skills and defensive power. It is rumored that Okafor will fill up the void created by the departure of Bismack Biyombo to the Orlando Magic this offseason.
Trade rumors suggested that the Raptors might team up the 20-year-old 76ers player with center Jonas Valanciunas and shooting guard DeMar DeRozan. However, none of the teams have officially provided any update about the possible trade scenario.
