Research in Motion (RIM), the Canadian tech behemoth is struggling in the global market, trying to keep itself afloat in live-or-die competition. The market shares are falling and developers are shifting away to other platforms like iOS and Android. RIM, after facing a huge loss, could be near extinction. But wait. There is still some hope for RIM and the company is reportedly close to releasing its BlackBerry 10-powered super phone, if leaked photos are to be believed.

Blackberry watcher Crackberry has leaked some images of so-called "Blackberry super-phone". The leaked device looks identical to big-screen Android phones. The prototypes of this phone will be handed to developers at Blackberry 10 Jam Conference in Orlando this week, while the phone will be released later this year. RIM will launch a giant marketing campaign before the release of its Blackberry 10 smartphone.

Earlier this year, Crackberry had leaked images of Blackberry London - the upcoming Blackberry 10 phone. Blackberry London is rumored to feature dual-core 1.5 GHz processor. The device may have 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Blackberry London is expected to feature 8 megapixel camera with LED flash. It will also boast a secondary 2-megapixel camera for video calling. Also, we will be surprised to see Blackberry London featuring 4G LTE connectivity chips.

Blackberry OS 10 could be based on open-source code of Google's Android OS. RIM can modify the Android OS in its own way, like it did in its Playbook tablet. We are looking forward to the May event to get a sight of Blackberry 10 Developer Alpha smartphone.

Another tech Web site N4BB, citing unnamed sources, claims October release date. The holiday season will help RIM a lot to regain the top spot. The full-touchscreen phone is expected to debut in mid-October. Blackberry is also planning a Blackberry 10 smartphone with slider form factor, which is scheduled to debut in first quarter of 2013.
