April has turned out to be a heaven for MMORPG gamers. Last week, Blizzard Entertainment gave a sneak-peak into its upcoming game - Diablo 3, where the beta version included 13 levels of gameplay. And this week, another MMORPG game - Guild Wars 2 is in open beta test list.

In the beta, players will be allowed to make multiple characters. Players can choose from 3 races (Charr, Human and Norm) and 8 professions. Small Player versus Player (PvP) matches will give interesting battles with friends. But increasing the fun, in Guild War 3 beta event, three teams are allowed to go on a war with each other in Worlds VS Worlds (WvW) mode. Each team in WvW mode can accommodate hundreds of fighters.

"For the first time ever, we're opening the metropolis of Lion's Arch to beta players. Wander the streets of this cosmopolitan trade hub, chat with traders and travelers from every corner of Tyria, hop through one of the many asura gates to points beyond, or discover the famed diving platform at Diverse Ledges. Lion's Arch is a city like no other," said ArenaNet, speaking about the new Lion Arc arena.

The Guild Wars 2 beta weekend event begins Friday April 27 at 12 a.m. PDT and will last until Sunday April 29 11.59 p.m. PDT. The beta test is a public event, which means that NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) terms are not applicable. In case you didn't get the invitation to enter the weekend event of Guild Wars 2, than you will get a good idea about the game from thousands of screenshots, YouTube videos and livestreams.

ArenaNet is also ensuring guaranteed access for weekend event of Guild Wars 2 to its premium users. To become a premium user, you will have to pre-purchase any edition of Guild Wars 2. Unfortunately, all digital copies of 2 of 3 editions have been sold out. At the moment, only Collector's edition of Guild Wars 2 is available, which is price at $149.99. Not only this event, premium users can book ticket to all future events of Guild Wars 2.

Not all players will be able to board the ship of Guild Wars 2 beta weekend event of this week. But don't feel disappointed as ArenaNet promises to bring more beta events before the release of final version of Guild Wars 2.
