The latest NBA trade rumors hinted that the Los Angeles Lakers are trying their best to bring in the Indiana Pacers' shooting guard Paul George in order to improve their roster. Reports claimed that the Lakers might trade their guard D'Angelo Russell to carry out the blockbuster deal before the start of the upcoming season.

Sports Rageous reported that the Lakers are planning to rebuild their team in order to provide tough competition to other teams in the Western Conference NBA league like the Golden State Warriors, Phoenix Suns, and Sacramento Kings. George will reportedly add the needed on-court defensive skills and thus help the Lakers to put up high scores.

Furthermore, rumors hinted that the Lakers might even trade a couple of more players to bring in George like Julius Randle and future first NBA Draft picks.

On the other hand, reports claimed that the Indiana Pacers are eyeing a potential trade option for George as he might hit the free agency next season, even though he has three years of contract left with $18 million per season. The main reason behind this is that the Pacers will not be able to get any player in exchange for George once he is a free agent.

It is stated that the Pacers are looking for young players who will improve their on-court offensive and defensive skills. Rumors suggested that the Lakers' Russell is expected to be the perfect fit for the team to make it to the play-offs in the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, Chat Sports Net reported that even the Oklahoma City Thunder want to get George in exchange for their center Enes Kanter and power forward Andre Roberson.

However, there is no official confirmation from any of the above-mentioned teams. Keep posted here for more NBA trade rumors and updates on Paul George.
