"Star Wars: Episode 8" is reportedly in the post production phase, and Mark Hamill during the Sal Lake City Comic-Con event teased that he has filmed a major special effects scene for the movie.
During the event, he was cautioned not to say anything about "Star Wars: Episode 8," so he started talking by saying, "I'm afraid to do anything these days; anything you do or say leads to speculation," the Comic Book reported.
Moreover, he talked about watching "Batman: The Killing Joke" for the first time as he voiced The Joker in the movie. Hamill said that it was sent to him while he was on set for Rian Johnson's film, adding that they were "doing night shoots; that's where you sleep all day, you get up in the late afternoon, and go to work, and as soon as it gets dark you film until the sun comes up the next morning."
"But I came home and I realized, 'oh my gosh, they have an interview for me tomorrow afternoon. I haven't watched [The Killing Joke], and the day after I start on a sequence, an elaborate special effects sequence where I'm not going to be able to do anything. I have to focus specifically on the Episode VIII scene I'm doing," he continued.
Now, speculations about the special effects scene have started and the reports suggested that the scene could be about Luke back in the pilot's seat of an X-wing or another vehicle.
However, very little is known about the film due to the high level of confidentiality that Disney and Lucasfilm practice.
Meanwhile, fans don't know which kind of special effect sequences Hamill was talking about and perhaps they will not know until "Star Wars: Episode VIII" is released on December 15, 2017.
