The latest NBA trade rumors hinted that the Sacramento Kings might enter a deal with the Toronto Raptors to trade their power forward DeMarcus Cousins. Even though it has not been officially declared, Cousins is rumored to leave the Kings before the start of the upcoming NBA season.

Digital Journal reported that the Raptors are touted to be keen on improving their roster and are thus, planning to go after the Kings' 26-year-old forward to achieve their goals for the 2016-17 season. According to the rumors, Cousins recent excellent performance in the Rio Olympics has prompted the Raptors to pursue him.

Reports claimed that the Toronto Raptors will team up Cousins with their talented players like shooting guard DeMar DeRozan and point guard Kyle Lowry in order to form their super team. It is expected that the trio will help the Raptors to strengthen their position in the Eastern Conference NBA league.

The trade rumors also stated that adding Sacramento Kings' Cousins will help the Raptors to form a talented team lineup in order to compete with Cleveland Cavaliers, which is a strong team in the league with players like LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love. It is also expected that the Cousins' strong frontcourt skills will help the Raptors to win a number of matches in the upcoming NBA season.

Nevertheless, should the trade between the two teams become a reality; there is no information about the players that the Toronto Raptors might send to the Kings in exchange for Cousins.

On the other hand, it is touted that even the Sacramento Kings are looking forward to trading Cousins and are trying to find a perfect partner. The main reason behind the rumored trade is the 26-year-old player's issues with the team's management.

Meanwhile, reports suggested that apart from the Toronto Raptors, the other teams which are eyeing Cousins are the Denver Nuggets, Washington Wizards, and Cleveland Cavaliers.
