The latest rumors about the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 5 hinted that it will sport many new excellent specs like the new Intel processor, Surface Pen, and 4K HD display as compared to its predecessor Surface Pro 4.
To start with, PC Advisor reported that the fifth installment of the tablet will consist of a Surface pen with rechargeable alkaline AAAA battery. It is stated that the stylus will support wireless charging functionality when connected to the Surface Pro 5 magnetically.
Furthermore, the Microsoft tablet is rumored to sport a 12.3-inch screen with Pixel Sense display similar to that of its predecessors. Also, the Surface Pro 5 might is touted to consist of a 2K resolution display panel along with a 4K Ultra HD variant.
Also, the high-end variant of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 might consist of the upcoming Intel Kaby Lake chipset and AMD Polaris GPU along with 16 GB RAM capacity. The device is also expected to power the device with an enhanced battery, which will provide the users with more than 12 hours of device life.
Besides, the tablet is rumored to sport the USB-Type C port for faster charging and data transfers. In terms of software specs, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to run on the latest Windows 10 Redstone 2 operating system.
Apart from the specs related rumors, Tech Times reported that the Surface Pro 5 is expected to be launched in October 2016. However, the devices are expected to be made available to the customers in March 2017.
The most basic variant of the Surface Pro 5 is believed to be priced for $899 whereas the model with 4K Ultra HD functionality is anticipated to cost for $1,599. However, there is no official validation about the release date or specs of the tablet from Microsoft. So, as of now, everything should be taken with a grain of salt.
