Fans of "Metal Gear" were already enraged with the recent announcement of the off spin-off that is "Metal Gear Survive," but Konami isn't stopping there. "Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Edition" appears to be another insult to the fans.

Earlier last month, fans have spotted something called "Metal Gear Solid V: Definitive Edition" on Amazon UK and Japan. This was way before the announcement of "Metal Gear Solid: Survive" that went full "Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps" in similar ways.

By then, some fans already varied reactions regarding the possible bundle that is "The Phantom Pain" and the extremely short, but sweet "Ground Zeroes." Upscaling the resolution may be a nice touch to an already pretty-looking game such as "Metal Gear Solid V."

Fast forward that to today where fans are already aware of the "Metal Gear Solid V: Definitive Experience." A game bundle of both the two games plus all the DLCs. At first glance, it may appeal to some newcomers that they don't have to look for anything else because it is complete.

Unfortunately, this isn't the case because even Konami itself clarified that they have no plans on finishing the story of the game, which tended to be confusing especially in the end-game parts.

Note: Spoilers ahead. Those who have not finished the game yet might want to stop here.

As reported by sites like Digital Trends, Konami told fans that the game's ending is non-existent on the part where Eli snatched a Metal Gear along with the alleged Psycho Mantis kid.

"The ending isn't and never has been missing, but this is a prequel game to Metal Gear," says Konami on Twitter. "The ending is found in the missions within. Many threads continue in Metal Gear and subsequent games."

For fans who have played "Metal Gear" games from the NES version up to the PlayStation 3 version, the stories can be connected to one another to make a sense out of the fifth game. Unfortunately for those who haven't, the game's non-existent ending will confuse more than clarify. That is with the exception of the mind-blowing revelation in the "TRUTH" mission.

Fans are very upset with Konami trying to milk the franchise with an extremely non-lore friendly "Metal Gear Survive," but some fans may actually still find interest with the "Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience." All for the sake of fandom and supporting Hideo Kojima's last work, at least with Konami.
