Microsoft has finally added another "Call of Duty" title to its ever growing list of Backwards Compatible titles for the Xbox One.
Last week, Microsoft has added "Call of Duty 2" to the list, joining the already added "Call of Duty: Black Ops," which was added in May. To fans, this may be a sign that more "Call of Duty" titles will be making its way to the list soon.
"Call of Duty" titles have dominated the list of most requested titles to be backwards compatible, with "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2" still sitting comfortably on top of the rankings, with almost 190,000 fans requesting for the title to be added.
Five out of the top ten spots are occupied by "Call of Duty" titles, namely "Call of Duty: Black Ops II," "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2," "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare," "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3" and "Call of Duty: World at War."
Other most requested titles on the list are "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim," "Mass Effect 3," "Grand Theft Auto IV," "Mass Effect 2," and "Batman: Arkham City."
Despite its remastered version coming soon on Xbox One, "Skyrim" is still the second most requested title on the list.
As for "Mass Effect 2 & 3," a remastered compilation is also hinted to be launched very soon, with Electronic Arts' executive vice president Patrick Soderlund expressing his interest in remasters at this year's Gamescom.
It seems that EA has changed its stance about remasters, as the company has declared that they are more interested in putting out new titles instead of remastering them, according to an interview with Game Informer last year.
"What's changed is that there is proof in the market that people want it, maybe more than there was when we spoke," Soderlund now said. "There were some that did it before, but I think there is even more clear evidence that this is something that people really want."
More Xbox One Backwards Compatibility news coming your way soon. Stay tuned.
