According to a number of sources, Samsung's Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are easily winning over the competition against Apple iPhone 6 and 6S. Will this change with the release of the iPhone 7?

As reported by Forbes contributor Brook Crothers, Apple's iPhone 7 may be the saving grace that the company is cooking up for consumers.

The report referenced a post from TechnoBuffalo about the topic regarding Galaxy Note 7 being a way better smartphone than any iPhone. The author of the post singled out each and every spec that the Note 7 has and any iPhone lacks.

However, the iPhone 7 aims to change all these. Every year, Apple does a very good job of hyping all of their gadgets and devices, and the iPhone 7 will not be an exception.

Crothers pointed out one survey data that proves where the consumers interest still lies. A data from Fluent showed that consumers really aren't looking for curved displays or iris scanners, which are features that are only present with the more recent Galaxy smartphone series from Samsung.

What the consumers were looking for was the increased storage capacity for the iPhone 7 gaining 22 percent and improved battery life and a better processor also takes a huge chunk in the survey chart.

More data can be found by checking the graph here and here.

The most noticeable figure in the survey was when consumers were asked about a curved display. All in, 60 percent of those who answered the survey are not interested in such idea.

As the survey result suggested, consumers mostly want a more functional with improved functions for the iPhone in general. iOS offers a large number of Apps, which aren't available on Android and this could be enough for Apple to keep a steady flow of returning customers for the iPhone 7.
