Barnes & Noble are offering discounts on its Nook Tablet in conjunction with Marvel. The offer runs for the rest of this month and into May. Customers who buy select Avengers comics will receive the discount code, available online or in stores.

Specifically, buying two Avengers graphic novels from certain titles in-store or online - at Barnesandnoble.com/Marvel - nets customers a $30 discount on a new Nook Tablet. Users would usually have to pay $199 and $249 for 8GB and 16GB versions respectively, taking the prices down to $169 and $219.

After purchasing the comics, the Tablet will be available for purchase in the same transaction through a discounted price. If buying online, customers can select two out of 20 titles and in 24 hours customers will receive a link to purchase the Nook Tablet at a discounted price.

18 of the 20 comics are Avengers titles, while the others are "Avengers/X-Men: Utopia" and "Avengers Academy."

When you want to experience more of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Wolverine or any of our other iconic super heroes, there is nothing quite like a Marvel graphic novel," Peter Phillips, senior vice president and general manager, Digital Media at Marvel Entertainment, added.

The Nook tablet comes with 512 or 1GB of RAM for the 8GB and 16GB models respectively, a 1GHz dual-core CPU, a 7-inch 1024x600 display and weighs 14.01 ounces (400 grams). The storage capacity can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD cards.

The promotion began on April 16 and runs until May 6, and coupons can only be redeemed once per customer.
