iOS lets users be flexible and customizable about the appearance of the apps. Apple Notes is no exception. Default iOS configuration allows an easy toggle between Light Mode and Dark Mode, changing the appearance of all native apps, including the Notes. But suppose you want the background of your notes to be whatever you want, independent of your system appearance?
In our guide, we will show you how to change the background color of individual notes or all your notes on your iPhone on top of other things you can do with it.
Tweak the Background of Your Desired Note
If you only want to change the background of one particular note while you are using Dark Mode, you can easily switch to a white background with black text. Here is how you do this:
- Access the Notes app on your device.
- Tap the New Note button to choose a new note or tap one you have already listed. When the note is blank, you won't see the option to Background Color.
- Click the three encircled dots. It should be on the top right-hand corner of the screen.
This you can use to allow for background light, however, your device will be in Dark Mode.
This will give you the extra capability of dominating your note-taking experience, perhaps if you are someone who finds the text difficult to read on a black background.
