The latest NBA trade rumors hinted that the Los Angeles Lakers might bring in Philadelphia 76ers Nerlens Noel before the start of the upcoming season. The Lakers are reportedly in the process of upgrading their roster and will trade this year's No.2 NBA Draft pick Brandon Ingram in exchange for Noel.

Centrino Times reported that the Lakers will benefit from Ingram's trade to the 76ers as this will provide them with an opportunity to acquire a more talented asset in the form of center Noel. With Jordan Clarkson and D'Angelo Russell possibly pairing up with Nerlens Noel, the team might have a higher chance of bringing home the championship.

Furthermore, it is reported that the Philadelphia 76ers 22-year-old player will provide the Lakers with the offensive and defensive skills to complement their center player Timofey Mozgov's gameplay.

The combination of Mozgov and Noel is expected to help frontcourt players like Russell, Clarkson, and Deng to score more points in the upcoming NBA season. However, Morning Ledger reported that Mozgov recently suffered an injury while playing for the Russian national team. It is expected that he will be on the bench for the rest of the upcoming NBA season and will have to rely on another center Ivica Zubac.

This has paved the way for the rumors that the Lakers might also opt to trade for an alternative 76ers center, Jahlil Okafor, in exchange for Ingram. However, Philadelphia 76ers president Bryan Colangelo had earlier commented that they will not trade for Okafor this year. This is expected to leave the Lakers team in a fix as they are rumored to push hard for Ingram and Okafor trade.

On the other hand, there are reports that even the 76ers are looking forward to trading their center player Noel as they are in need of a talented player in exchange to balance their roster. It is stated that Lakers' Ingram might be the best deal for them as he will provide the defensive gameplay on-court.
