Nearing the end of the offseason, the latest NBA trade rumors suggested that the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets are planning to ink a deal soon. Reports claimed that the Lakers are eyeing Nuggets' power forward Kenneth Faried and shooting guard Gary Harris in exchange for Julius Randle and Nick Young.
Morning News USA reported that the Nuggets are eagerly looking forward to trading Faried as he is no longer a valuable asset with just an average of 25.3 minutes per game last season regardless of playing 64 out of 67 games. However, the trade with Lakers for Young and Randle might prove to be a bad start for the team.
Both Randle and Young are reportedly not for the Nuggets' pool of talented players as they have an average playing record for the last NBA season. Also, it is stated that Young might affect the chemistry of the Nuggets players with his tendency to get involved in off-court fights and Randle has suffered an injury last season.
Furthermore, SB Nation reported that Young does not possess enough defensive skills to complement Nuggets' Jamal Murray, Malik Beasley, and Will Barton, which will thus be a bad deal option.
Meanwhile, there are reports that the Los Angeles Lakers will receive some of the finest players in exchange for Young and Randle. According to the trade rumors, the Lakers' is planning to rebuild their roster to provide tough competition to other teams in the NBA league.
Reports claimed that Harris had an average of 23.5 in the last season with an impressive performance on-court. Hence, it is expected that Lakers' backcourt will be taken care of with the addition of Harris. On the other hand, Faried is expected to provide excellent frontcourt performance along with the Lakers' other major players like Brandon Ingram and D'Angelo Russell.
