HTC, the Taiwanese tech giant, has earned a lot of good reputation for its HTC One X - the quad-core powered phone that packs excellent features. Android fans have all been waiting eagerly for this device to be released in the market. Earlier, it was believed that HTC One X will hit the U.S. market in June or July this year. But according to latest reports, HTC One X is going to hit AT&T stores sooner. In fact, it might show up as early as next week.

According to mobile news Web site BGR, AT&T may officially announce HTC One X anytime soon and it will be available at stores within the next 5 to 7 days. BGR says that the sources are trusted. The AT&T version of One X will pack dual-core Snapdragon processor, instead of Tegra 3, in order to accommodate 4G compatibility. But the design will be identical to international version of HTC One X. The only difference in these two models is 4G connectivity and processor chipset. The rest of features are all the same in both the models.

HTC One X features 4.7-inch Super IPS LCD2 display with a resolution of 1280 X 720 pixels. AT&T's One X will pack dual-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon processor, while international version packs quad-core Tegra 3 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. The device has 1GB of RAM and 16/32GB of internal storage. One X has 8-megapixel camera with LED flash that records 1080p videos at 30fps. It also has front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera that can also record HD videos (720p).

The device runs Android OS v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with HTC Sense UI and Beats Audio integration. Other than 4G compatibility, HTC One X features Wi-Fi (with Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA and hotspot functionality), Bluetooth v4.0, assisted GPS, USB v2.0 (MHL) and NFC connectivity features.

Consumer's expectations are high about HTC's One series of Android smartphones. Besides the U.S., these devices are also hitting Canadian shores within a matter of few days. Canadian network carrier Rogers is expected to release HTC One X on April 20 while Bell and Telus will release HTC One S and One V. Virgin Mobile and Fido will get the HTC One S only.
