The upcoming Asus N-Series of laptops have been detailed ahead of an unveiling at DesignWeek 2012 next week in Milan. There will be three models in a range of sizes.

The new models will replace the N45, N55 and N75 with the N46, N56 and N76, according to Notebook Italia (Italian). The screen sizes are 14, 15.6 and 17.3 inches respectively.

Asus has introduced speaker grills on each model that largely covers the keyboard, a significant change from the previous models. The speakers use Bang & Olufsen "ICEPower" technology, with some models bundled with the external Sonic Master subwoofer, which delivers deep and rich bass.

The new laptops will have Sandy Bridge CPUs, though Ivy Bridge processors have not been ruled out. Graphics will be managed through the Nvidia GeForce GT635M dedicated graphics card. There will be options up to 8GB of RAM, 1TB of internal storage and a choice of optical drives. Powered by the Super Hybrid Engine II, Instant-On technology returns which powers the laptop on from standby in under two seconds, along with up to two weeks standby time. No price or release date has been revealed, though these will likely be shared at DesignWeek.

Other specs listed are 2GB of dedicated RAM, a 1TB 5,400rpm hard drive or the faster 750GB 7,200rpm hard drive. There is an optional Blu-Ray drive, Bluetooth 3.0 support and screen resolutions that go up to full HD (1920x1080 pixels) with 150/120 degree wide viewing angles. Buyers will be able to choose multiple versions of Windows 7, from Home Premium to Ultimate.

The design is reminiscent of a MacBook Pro or Air, with the unibody design and large trackpad, which looks like a single button. The laptops have illuminated keyboards with the Instant Key feature, allowing customizable app and feature access.

The cover has a brushed finish, while the base has a satin finish. Notebook Italia also said the touchpad will have a "soft-feel surface."

The YouTube of the laptop finished with the tagline "When was the last time you heard something Incredible," possibly suggesting "Incredible" will featuring in the name. Check it out below.
