After "God of War" for the PS4 was revealed at E3 2016 last June, there hasn't been a lot of news then especially new footage or screenshots. In the mean time, Creator Cory Barlog answered some questions from fans to clarify some things.
One possible concern that most gamers would be the game's length. This will always be the case for games that are too good for end and leave players feeling empty after finishing them. One fan asked this question and fortunately, Barlog himself answered it.
The game was said to be no more than a hundred hours long. There was no clarification if this was just for the normal playthrough without completing it 100 percent. What he did add was there is a New Game Plus feature that will extend the lifespan of the game for at least some few more hours.
As already noticed by a number of fans, Barlog also stated that "God of War" is inspired from games like "The Last of Us" for the two main characters in the game being Joel and Ellie that is mirrored by Kratos and his son.
It also takes its cues from the game that started it all for the over-the-shoulder camera angle, "Resident Evil 4." This suit has been followed by other games like "Gears of Wars," "Alan Wake" and even "The Last of Us" itself
Sadly, it is a shame that Sony is skipping Gamescom this year so it is very unlikely that fans will be seeing more of Kratos and his son's new footages. That is, unless they don't plan on showing up as a surprise.
For the moment, it would be best to drop by Barlog's Twitter, follow him, and subscribe to us for more "God of War" news and reveals.
