Rumors surrounding the development of "Devil May Cry 5" has been going around for a while; and fans got one decisive statement from Capcom Vancouver.

In a report from PlayStation Life Style, fans got an answer for Capcom Vancouver regarding the next upcoming "Devil May Cry 5." One fan got the respond from the company's official Twitter account for Vancouver stating that the game is not being worked on their studio at least.

The company didn't deny nor confirm the existence of the game and its development, and this could have boosted the fans hopes in seeing the sequel to the original timeline or possibly, a follow up at where we left at "DmC: Devil May Cry Reboot."

If this would be the case, it wouldn't be as surprising as much as the former "DmC: Devil May Cry" did get developed by a different studio, namely Ninja Theory.

However, Ninja Theory is currently busy with "Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice." Unless they've got extra hands to work on both, we might not be seeing "Devil May Cry 5" soon enough.

It could be remembered that fans did expect "Devil May Cry 5" during the last E3, but they were left with disappointment as there was not a single word about it. Not even it being in development. Rumors like the "Devil May Cry 5" voice actor leak didn't really proved anything here.

In the series' timeline, the latest "Devil May Cry" game is "Devil May Cry 4" where the players' main character is not Dante, but Nero. "DmC," on the other hand was a reboot or more so like a prequel before Dante established his demon-hunting business and his past with his twin brother Vergil.

Whether a follow up on "Devil May Cry 4" or "DmC," fans can make sure that the next game from Capcom will be another blast to play with and will get them sore-thumbs as it has always been.
