Last week, Pangu finally released the its official jailbreaking tool for iOS 9.2 to 9.3.2 and 9.3.3. However, there are some problems that users may encounter and with Apple causing problems with the Safari method to top it all.

No More Jailbreak Through Your iPhone or iPad's Safari

By now, the most common problem with the jailbreak solution for iOS 9.3.3 and 9.3.2 is Apple, blocking and revoking certificates used for Safari. Supposedly, jailbreaking through users' iOS devices would be most convenient, but with this problem, the solution is to use the Windows-based tool instead.

Bootloop Problems After Installing Activator on iPhone

Some users may also experience bootloop after installing Activator. Reddit user DodongBastos posted a solution that fixes this and here's a quick rundown of the instructions;

  • Install iFunBox

  • Reboot device (without Jailbreak yet)

  • Run the PP app

  • Once the device goas back to the springboard, hold the volume up and wait for a vibration

  • Plug the iPhone to the computer. This will automatically launch iFunbox.

  • Go to /Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries directory and erase "Activator.plist" and "Activator.dylib."

  • Phone will now boot with iOS 9.3.2 or 9.3.3 jailbreak WITH Activator

Apple ID Not Accepted in Pangu Tool

This is yet, another common problem. For some users who want to jailbreak iOS 9.3.2 or 9.3.3, they tend to use their own Apple IDs.

Using your own ID can be problematic in two different levels. One is, not being able to proceed with the jailbreak process due to the two-factor authentication. To go around this, users simply need to disable that security feature.

Another problem is the potential identity theft or disclosure. What we highly advise is for users to just create a dummy account WITHOUT the two-factor authentication. This is easier and safer at the same time.

Jailbreak Process Fails

While jailbreaking, some users may encounter an error which shows a Chinese message. This means that the jailbreak process has been halted. To fix this, users need to check the following:

  • The feature "Find My iPhone" needs to be turned off prior jailbreaking

  • Over The Air or OTA Updates needs to be disabled as well

  • Passcode should also be disabled

If all else fails and all possible solutions had been tried with no luck, the iOS Jailbreak for 9.3.2 or 9.3.3 may not be for your device. Instead, you might want to just try one of the alternative solutions like one of our guides here.
