We are just days away from April 18, the day T-Mobile plans to commence a launch party for the HTC One S. The HTC One S is one of the latest devices from HTC, one that lacks a quad-core processor but still manages to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich pretty well with its Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core CPU. There have been rumors about the HTC One S going on sale on April 25. So an April 18 launch party could very well prove this rumor to be more than just another wild guessing game.

T-Mobile has been busy sending out invitations to all the top media houses.

The HTC One S is the first smartphone from the HTC One family to launch. The device features a 1.5GHz dual core CPU, 4.3-inch qHD (540×960) Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, Wi-Fi: 802.11b/g/n, micro USB with mobile high-definition video link (MHL) for USB or HDMI connection, 8-megapixel camera, 1080p HD video recording, VGA front camera, and a 1650 mAh battery.

Quite a powerhouse, if you ask us. This kind of device proves that HTC is stepping up its fight to stay relevant in the world of Android, which seems to be controlled by Samsung and nothing else.

Are you planning to get the HTC One S? Or will you wait it out for the quad core powered HTC One X instead. Tell us in the comments.
