Several Microsoft Surface Pro 5 rumors have suggested that its release date might be delayed because of the availability of the processor that it will come with.

Will the new tablet from the American tech company be finally introduced this year? What features will it be packed with? What particular innovations will it boast of?

As some consumers reportedly thought of the company's anniversary as a possible venue for the much-awaited announcement, a new reported hinted that it might not be the case.

According to PC Advisor, while the said event will mark the release of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, it is unlikely that Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be announced by then.

MobiPicker supported this when it stated that the upcoming gadget will only be made available by early 2017, probably in the spring.

The reason cited for the delay is the arrival of its processor which is the Kaby Lake, the seventh generation processor from Intel, as relayed by the tech site's sources in China.

However, despite the longer waiting period, consumers can expect a much improve hybrid laplet courtesy of Kaby Lake which will run on new Nvidia Pascal or AMD Polaris GPUs.

With the said processor installed in Microsoft Surface Pro 5, rumors claimed that the unit's battery life will be a lot more efficient considering that it draw lesser power. And with its 16GB RAM, consumers, especially the multi-taskers, can really anticipate a better experience as they do several tasks at the same time.

When it comes to its display, the report noted that it will be available in either 2K or 4K screen, with the latter being offered at a higher price, of course.

Meanwhile, International Business Times reported that the Kaby Lake processors, which is said to come with improved 3D graphics and 4k video playback, are arriving on Jan. 15.

Take note, though, that there are still rumors. Keep posted for more Microsoft Surface Pro 5 news and updates.
