The buzz around iPhone 5 have grown in the past few months and rumor mills have gone on an overdrive especially after the third generation iPad was launched in March. And, if the latest buzz is to be believed, iPhone 5 will boast of a unibody design and will pack a variant of A5X as well as 1GB RAM.

Apple iPhone 5 design has always been a very interesting topic. Many designers have been showing off their skills and, as a result, several iPhone 5 concept designs are floating online. But there's one thing common in all these designs - it shows that the tech giant will completely redesign its new iPhone.

According to the latest rumors, iPhone 5 will have unibody design as seen in MacBook Pro. Some rumors say that iPhone 5 will have aluminum unibody design similar to the rear panel of iPad. The new iPhone is also expected to feature 4-inch Retina display.

Apple is also reportedly testing new hardware chips for its upcoming smartphone. In case of the new iPad, it was rumored that the new Apple tablet will feature quad-core A6 processor chip. But Apple instead packed it with A5X chip that has quad-core graphics but dual-core processor. So now Apple watchers believe that A6 processor chip will feature in the upcoming iPhone. Earlier it was rumored that iPhone 5 will equip quad-core A6 processor chip clocked somewhere between 1.2 GHz to 1.5 GHz. But recent reports are turning down the possibilities of quad-core processor chip in iPhone 5.

According to the latest reports, Apple is working on A5X variants that will be featured in the upcoming iPhone. The new iPad's A5X chip contains two 1 GHz Cortex A9 processor cores and four PowerVR SGX 543 GPU cores, which has double GPU cores and same CPU as compared to A5 processor chip. A5X draws a lot of juice from the new iPad's battery. And using a true quad-core chip can kill so-called iPhone 5's battery in no time. Hence, it is believed that Apple might again skip A6 processor chip in iPhone 5. But it will have upgraded 1GB of RAM. Additional RAM will make apps run smoothly in order to give flawless performance on the new iPad.

According to Apple, the A5X processor chip is much superior to any dual-core chip found in the market.
