"Danganronpa 3: Future Arc" episode 2 "Hang The Witch" ends in its signature "Danganronpa" flair, and fans are starting to discuss about what's in store for them on the next episode.
Monokuma is back, and the members of the Future Foundation is once again thrust into a gruesome killing game, which is broadcast live to the outside world. This time, the rules are slightly different.
The Rules of the Final Killing Game
All sixteen participants are fitted with bangles, which injects a sleeping drug every two hours. Once everyone is asleep, the "Hunter" will wake up and kill one of the participants within a fixed time limit, before falling back to sleep.
(Note: We will be using "Super High-School Level" as opposed to "Ultimate" to describe the Hope's Peak High School Students)
Another interesting addition to the game is the NG codes, a forbidden action for each participants. In the second episode, Daisaku Bandai, former Super High-School Level Farmer, was killed by the bracelet when he witnessed violence, which is prohibited according to his NG code.
The First Victims
Three people already died in episode two. Former Super High School-Level Chisa Yukizome was first to die, followed by Bandai. The last one is, to the disappointment of many, Aoi Asahina, who survived the first Killing School Life.
NG Code Speculations
Makoto Naegi's NG code was revealed to be "Running in the Hallways" while Bandai's was "Witness Violence." A few speculations about the rest of the NG codes are already being made on Reddit.
During the chase scene with former Super High-School Level Student Council President Kyosuke Munakata, he stopped running after Makoto, Aoi and Gozu when they entered a room, shutting the door behind them. Because of this, it is possible that Kyosuke's NG code is "Opening Doors."
Former Super High-School Level Therapist Miaya Gekkogahara, who controls Usami/Monomi, is speculated to have an NG code of "Contact With Other Participants," judging from the way she avoided Aoi's hand during one scene.
Sonosuke Izayoi, former Super-High School Level Blacksmith, might have an NG code of "No Sweets" or "No Eating," as he avoided former Super High-School Level Confectioner Ruruka Ando's candies.
Kyoko Kirigiri, on the other hand, may be prevented by her NG code to interact with Makoto directly, as she avoided him after looking at her code.
"Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School Future Arc" will be aired on July 25, while the second episode of the Despair Arc will be aired July 21. You can watch them on Funimation.
