There are many geeky gadgets in the world that look just weird in the first look. We have seen Android powered watches and now spiky headphones are round the corner, headphones that not just cover your ears, but also cover your eyes.

Italian designer Joe Doucet has designed the spiky headphones called OneSense that covers the user's eyes along with ears. According to the designer, the spikes act as a "Do not disturb" warning symbol for passerby when the wearer is listening to music on a public location. Intruders will think twice before approaching you after seeing the red design and browbeating spikes.

Music is the personal area of one's interest. OneSense headphones isolate user's ears and eyes from the surrounding environment so that they can listen to music in peace while remaining cut from the outside world. According to the Italian designer, the headphone symbolizes human need for moments of peace and red spikes are for warning and defense.

"In an age where technology allows for a constant bombardment on our senses, where tablet computers and smartphones mean we are reachable 24/7, One Sense symbolizes the human need for periods of peace and tranquility. One Sense not only obscures environmental sight and sound from encroaching on the wearer, but utilizes the color red and a display of spikes, drawn from nature's symbols for warning and defense, to alert others not to intrude." said Joe Doucet on his Web site.

These headphones are believed to be the best for listening to music. By blocking off all the sounds and sights of the world, OneSense headphones let you enjoy pure moments of music.

Currently the OneSense headphones are not available in the market. The designer is going to unveil the OneSense headphones at Meet My Project event in Milan, Italy. However, in U.S., the arrival date has been set to May 2012, in an exhibition at New York's Design Week, which will be held in the last week of May.
