LG has earned a big name with its LG Optimus 2X - the first dual-core powered android smartphone. Also it was the first phone to record 1080p videos. Released back in first quarter of 2011, one year has passed away and the company has failed to launch another impressive phone. But now the company is going to launch a so-called "thinking" smartphone that will help the company regain top spot by blowing away competition.
LG wants to earn a reputed position in 2012 smartphone market by delivering software innovation to its Android smartphones. Talking to Korean Web site Inews24, Managing Director of LG Mobile, Kwon Bong-Suk revealed the idea of a thinking smartphone. LG's new smartphone will be packed up with impressive artificial intelligence skills. Giving an example, Bong-Suk said that the phone will wake you up half an hour in advance if it detects heavy traffic on the way to your first designation. Suppose, a person sets alarm at 8:00 am and he goes to work at 9:00 am. If the phone detects a heavy traffic on the way to work then the so-called "thinking" smartphone will alter the alarm to 7:30 am.
The South Korean company didn't reveal any further details about the phone. Just we know that LG is looking forward to a $100 price tag on the new smartphone to make it affordable and boost the sales.
Kwon Bong-Suk said that the company is currently in the preparation phase of developing a thinking smartphone that will makes rival smartphones feel the blues.
The new "thinking" smartphone can change the way interact and use the smartphones. LG can revolutionize the user experience. Self-thinking smartphones can make our lives easy. But do not expect to get this phone anytime soon. There is a big-time homework LG needs to do before releasing a smartphone with artificial intelligence skills.
