Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics are set to finally release the much awaited PS4 version for "Rise of the Tomb Raider" in October, according to an Italian retailer.

The Italian website for game retailer Gamestop has listed "Rise of the Tomb Raider" for an October 11 release date, as picked up by NeoGAF forumer piccio_ssl.

Another Italian site everyeye.it also reported a photo leaked by a Gamestop employee in Italy, showing that "Rise of the Tomb Raider" is definitely coming out in October, according to their store database.

If the rumors and leaks are indeed true, then this means that Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics will be releasing the game a month before the one year timed exclusivity clause with Microsoft ends. The game was released for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 in November 10.

There was also a discussion around the PS4 release's retail price, which would be around 70 Euros (approximately $60) according to the website. If this is true, then the game will be fully priced at launch.

It is also unclear if the price is only for the base game or if it will be including the "Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch" and "Cold Darkness Awakened" downloadable contents.

Whether the release date is true or not, this information further debunks another recent rumor that "Rise of the Tomb Raider" will no longer be coming to the PS4. This speculation was made judging from the fact that the developers are being tight-lipped about the title recently.

This rumor was recently denied by Crystal Dynamics themselves. According to a previous report, the game is still on track for a release this year.

"As stated previously, Rise of the Tomb Raider's PlayStation 4 release is set for Holiday 2016," Crystal Dynamics confirmed on a post on the Square Enix forums, putting cancellation rumors to rest.
