The American rock band Blink-182 recently released their new album "California" after a gap of some five odd years. Reports claimed that the album has a more youthful tone with many songs based on teenager's views on various things in life.
SA Current reported that Blink 182 featured songs like "Cynical," "Bored to Death," "She's Out of Her Mind" and many more which reflects band lead singer Mark Hoppus's take on teenagers. The new album is reported to be more about growing up from a teenager and entering a new phase in life.
Moreover, the new album's songs like "The Only Thing That Matters," "No Future," "Built This Pool," "Bohemian Rhapsody," and "Left Alone" are touted to be classic singles by Prospector Daily. On the other hand, the new album also features a single on the former band member Tom Delonge, lead singer and guitarist, who left the group last year.
According to the producer John Feldmann, the "San Diego" single is all about Mark's best friend, who is not the band member anymore.
"It was a song that Mark didn't want to write," said John, as reported by Alt Press. "I brought up the idea that you have to write about shit you don't want to write about. You have to write about shit that's right there on the surface. There are clearly a lot of feelings involved with having a best friend with all that stuff that went down."
Meanwhile, Vice reported that Blink 182 will soon start a tour for their new album "California." The band will perform on stage at Don Haskins Center on July 26, along with other performances from A Day to Remember and All-American Rejects.
