After launching a wave of mobile devices, Huawei will be releasing the MateBook 2-in-1 in the United States on July 11.

The gadget which can be a laptop or a tablet was first seen at CES 2016, reported PC Magazine. The MateBook 2-in-1 will be available with a starting price of $699.

However, the MateBook Keyboard case, the Huawei MatePen, and the portable MateDock are separately available with the cost of $129, $59, and $89, respectively. The latest device got a 12-inch touch screen and Intel Core m3 processor, with 4GB of system memory and a 128GB solid-state drive.

But for those who want to configure the internal specs, Gizmag reported that upgrades will cost more. Upgrading to Intel Core m5 (4 GB/128 GB) will be at $849 while going up to Intel Core m5 (8 GB/256 GB) or Intel Core m5 (8 GB/512 GB) will cost $999 and $1,199, respectively.

The MateBook 2-in-1 is only 0.27 inches thick and weighs 1.4 pounds. The device does not have a kickstand but the keyboard case includes a stand. Other impressive features are the "liquid-resistant" keyboard, 2,048 levels of pressure sensitivity, a built-in laser pointer, and a presentation clicker button.

Furthermore, the MateDock contains an Ethernet jack, an HDMI port, two USB 3.0 ports, a VGA port, and a pass-through USB-C port for charging. People can get a gray or gold device, with four different hues for the keyboard to choose from.

Gizmag stated that the prices are just for its internal capacity and features, but the lack of another USB Type-C port maybe one of the cons for the power users. But indeed, Huawei has innovated a new hybrid laptop/tablet device that is "eye-catching" and "definitely worth paying attention to."

The pre-order for Huawei's MateBook 2-in-1 starts today on the Microsoft store.
