With the NBA trade rumors heating up, the latest update hint at the possibility that Los Angeles Lakers might trade their no.2 draft pick of 2015, D'Angelo Russell, with Chicago Bulls' Derrick Rose.
Sports Rageous reported that the Lakers might opt for swapping D'Angelo to Bulls as they would get Derrick Rose in return at the point guard position. The reports suggested that Rose would prove as an upgrade over D'Angelo and will provide Lakers' with the jump-start they are looking for in the rebuilding process of their team.
Furthermore, Bulls' Derrick would be able to build up the seriousness of the Los Angeles Lakers' players and motivate them to play smart in the new season. Inquisitr reported that even the Lakers' Kevin Durant and other players are looking forward to welcome the 27-year-old to their team.
Meanwhile, Yibada reported that one of the reasons as to why Lakers will think of trading off Russell is being rumored to be his recent locker room incident. The reports stated that the D'Angelo leaked a video of Lakers' teammate Nick Young's statement about his possible infidelities that take place during the game tours. It is reported that the Los Angeles Lakers' management were angry about the leaked video and were disappointed with the players act full of immaturity.
The other teams which are reported to be interested in accepting Russell are the Phladelphia72ers and Minnesota Timberwolves. The NBA trade rumors also suggested that Philadelphia 76ers might think of trading Jahlil Okafor for Russell as they are in desperate need of a point guard.
In addition, Digital Journal reported that the other teams with top 5 picks are the Phoenix Suns and Boston Celtics. It is reported that there is zero percent chance that they will trade with Lakers as they are trying to give their no.3 pick for a star player and Russell don't stand a chance there.
Also, there are reports that even Phoenix Suns would not think of accepting Russell as there are high chances that they will be able to woo in Kris Dunn.
