Another video game rumor has been verified at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3. Microsoft has confirmed the existence of a slimmer Xbox One, and fans will be able to get their hands on it very soon.

The new machine called Xbox One S will be 40 percent smaller than the bulkier Xbox One console.

Microsoft also removes the bulky power supply that came with the original model, switching from external to internal power supply, according to The Verge.

Unlike the old model, the new Xbox One S comes with an optional vertical stand, so players can display it however they want.

The "robot white" console looks immaculate from the outside, but it does not end there. According to Gamespot, the upgraded model will come with 4K video support and HDR capabilities for both video and gaming.

A USB port and the controller pairing button were moved to the front of the console for easier access, plus there's also a new IR blaster built in.

The new Xbox One S, however, does not have the original model's Kinect sensor port, so owners would have to connect the Kinect via a separate USB adaptor.

The controller for the Xbox One S also gets a makeover, with new textured grips at the back. The controller will also come with Bluetooth capabilities, which in effect extends the wireless range of the device, plus enables the user to connect the controller to a Windows PC.

Information about the new Xbox One S was leaked by NeoGaf forumer Ekim the day before Microsoft's E3 press conference, as reported by this site.

The system will cost $399 for a 2TB hard drive version and will be the first ones to be available. It will also have a 1TB version for $349 and a 500GB version for $299 soon. The controller alone will cost $60.

The Xbox One S will go on sale in early August this year.
