A leaked image of the new Microsoft Surface phone has surfaced on the Internet recently. The photo shows a white-themed design. Will the upcoming flagship device follow this?

The photo was reportedly leaked by a certain "@nobikar" which was obtained by Softpedia. According to the website, the rumored device might sport a 5.7-inch or a 5.8-inch display with a built-in QWERTY keypad. It also shows a USB 3.0 port along with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a fingerprint scanner, with a 20MP rear camera.

There are also speculations that Microsoft is bound to launch the product in the first quarter of 2017, noted another Softpedia report. Meanwhile, Mobipicker revealed that there might be three variants for the Surface Phone.

First will be the standard mobile handset that might include a 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage with an expandable microSD card support. The name remains unknown.

Then, there could be the mid-range variant, with a relatively higher capacity of 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Rumor has it that this model will be the flagship device that rivals with the next Samsung Galaxy Note.

Last will be the high-end phablet which could come in 8 GB of RAM and 500 GB of storage, speculated to target business consumers. Logically, the higher the specs, the higher the price of the variant would be.

The details might be plausible enough to believe, but there are no confirmations about the specs and features of the Surface Phone so the information may just be treated with an epic pinch of salt.

According to sources, the information were inclined to the rumors and leaks in the past so there are chances that the hybrid product will carry the said specs and features. However, Microsoft remains quiet as it is about to announce the product anytime soon.
