The latest reports on the much-awaited OnePlus 3 flagship device suggest that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer company is all set to launch the device this month. The reports have confirmed that the release date of the new OnePlus 3 is slated to be June 14, 2016. It is also reported that the new smartphone would be launched in a virtual reality environment, which is called by the company as the Loop.

Wired reported that the co-founder of the company, Carl Pei, also said through his blog post that the new OnePlus 3 device would be made available to the customers without the invite system. There are reports that the invite system has been officially scrapped by OnePlus in order to make it easy for the smartphone users to buy the new device.

Further, it is reported that the OnePlus 3 will go on sale directly to the customers without any prerequisite of presenting an invitation. There are reports that this would be the second time that the company has withdrawn the invite system, where OnePlus had pulled back the invite system just three months after the launch of OnePlus X device.

Earlier, PC Advisor reported that the Chinese smartphone company used the invite system to closely monitor the supply-demand equation in order to reduce the cost of inventory storage and management. But, eventually, the company had to withdraw the invite system as it was not welcomed by the customers and also, it created a lot of confusion and frustration.

With all the reports about the invite system and the release date of OnePlus 3, NDTV stated that the new smartphone will boast high-quality specs and features as compared to its predecessors. It is reported that the device will feature Snapdragon 820 processor with a 5.5-inch display.

Furthermore, the OnePlus 3 is also expected to be launch in two variants based on its RAM capacity i.e. 4 GB RAM with 32 GB Storage and 6 GB RAM with 64 GB storage. PC Magazine reported that the new smartphone will also consist of a 16-megapixel rear camera with a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. There are reports that the OnePlus 3 smartphone will have Android 6.0.1 Marshmellow O.S with 3000 mAh or 3500 mAh battery power.

Additionally, IB Times reported that the launch of OnePlus 3 will begin at 12:30 PM EST on June 14 in the US and the device will go on open sale for all the interested buyers at 3:00 PM EST on the same day.
