The images of the Samsung Gear VR controller were leaked online recently and are currently trending all over the internet. The reports suggest that the South Korean company is currently building up a new Gear VR headset controller, which is also rumored to be a Bluetooth-enabled device.
The Verge reported that the Gear VR controller will consist of an analog joystick. The leaked images showcase that the Samsung controller will feature four action buttons, X, A, B and Y on the right side. Also, the Gear VR device will feature two to-facing triggers with an LED light. It is reported that the LED light will glow in blue color when the controller would be turned on. On the other hand, the controller will glow red when the battery is very low.
Also, the next Gear headset controller is expected to consist of phones clip in via a new USB-C connector, as an alternative to the Micro USB.
Besides, there are reports that the Samsung controller consists of a menu button right at the center with the logo of Oculus in the other corner, as the device is rumored to be powered by Oculus. Tech Times reported that from the leaked images there are rumors that the Samsung Gear VR controller can also be attached to the front of the headset when not in use.
Meanwhile, Phone Arena reported that the Samsung's Gear VR is rumored to be in dire need of a controller to provide a more engaging experience to the users. Earlier, there were reports that Samsung had launched a Gamepad, which had more controllers. But, the device could not attract more customers and as a result was called off from the stores.
The rumors also suggested that if Samsung actually launches the VR controller this year, then it would allow the users to interact with the Samsung 3D content in a proper way, reported Android Headlines. It is also reported that the new Gear VR controller would actually help to revive Samsung's market share in the virtual reality area.
Additionally, there is no information available as of now as to how much the Samsung Gear VR controller will be priced. Also, there are no details about the release date of the device, even though the leaked images are already trending on the internet.
