The latest update on the much-awaited Google Nexus 2016 device suggests that the Huawei-based manufacturer, HTC, has been confirmed to manufacture the Nexus 7 smartphones, after which the device will be released most probably by the end of this year.
Yibada reported that the upcoming Google Nexus 2016 smartphone will also feature various upgrades like Snapdragon 820 processor with a 4 GB RAM in contrast to its predecessor, which consisted of Snapdragon 810 chipset with 3 GB RAM. The rumors suggest that Google has tapped in the earlier Google Nexus 6P device manufacturer to produce the Nexus 7 devices with premium upgrades.
Further, there are reports that the new Google Nexus 7 device will also consist of the latest operating system from the technology giant i.e. Android N. The Bit Bag reported that the OS will most probably be rolled out in August this year, so HTC has enough time to manufacture the much-anticipated devices with exceptional upgraded features.
From the reports based on the upcoming Android N, it is rumored that the new Google Nexus 7 will feature various floating app windows and split screen functionality for viewing multiple apps at the same time. Gospel Herald reported that an application that improves battery life, called as Doze, might also be included in the new Google Nexus device. The reports suggest that the main aim to include the Doze app is to increase the tablet's efficiency.
Besides, Know Your Mobile reported that the technology giant is also planning to release Seamless system updating feature for the Google Nexus 7 device, which will help to download software upgrades at a faster rate and also will improve the device boot time in the upcoming smartphone.
Meanwhile, there are reports that the new Google Nexus 2016 device will feature a 7-inch display with Quad HD screen and a display of 1080 pixels. It is also reported that the new smartphone will be made available in two variants based on the internal storage i.e. 32 GB variant and 64 GB variant.
Additionally, there are reports that the new Google Nexus 7 device might also feature the upcoming Google's Daydream VR platform.
The Google Nexus 7 is expected to release in August 2016, just after the release of the latest operating system, Android N. It is also anticipated to cost around $400.
