A new report released by a well-known analyst at KGI securities, Ming-Chi Kuo, suggests that the release date of the much-awaited MacBook Pro has been postponed to the fourth quarter of 2016. Earlier, there were reports that the new device from Apple would be launched during the WWDC conference in June. But, the analyst has claimed that Apple might release the notebook series during the company's special event, which is expected to take place in September 2016.

Express reported that the new MacBook Pro might undergo a total makeover in its latest 2016 version. Kuo said that the upcoming device will be much thinner and lighter as compared to its predecessors with most significant upgrades till date. He said that the thin and light design would be incorporated with the help of new metal injection mold-made hinges and butterfly-mechanism keyboard, similar to another version of 12-inch MacBook model, which was unveiled earlier this year.

According to the analysts, the upcoming MacBook Pro would also feature Thunderbolt 3.0 compatible ports with USB-ports. It is also rumored that the new Apple's 2016 device will include Touch ID fingerprint scanners. Gottabemobile reported that such type of scanners might also increase the inclusion of other possibilities like Apple Pay. This functionality will also allow users to use their iPhones to unlock their Apple laptops.

Further, The Daily Mail reported that the upcoming MacBook Pro will consist of Skylake processors with AMD's 400 Polaris graphics chips. In addition to all the new features, Kuo said that Apple will release the device in two variants i.e. 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro versions.

However, according to the analyst, the biggest change in the new MacBook Pro laptops in 2016 would be in its keyboard. Ming-Chi said that Apple is planning to replace all the function keys on the top row of the keyboard with small OLED touchscreen functionality in the new MacBook Pro. This OLED touchscreen is expected to add shortcuts into the device, reported 9 to 5 MAC. The report suggests that the users will also be able to add their own custom shortcuts and most-frequently used apps to the screen.

Furthermore, there are reports that the new MacBook Pro will also feature a force-sensitive input structure i.e. Force Touch trackpad, which will provide the users a feedback when the press the surface.
